Louis Max & David Duband, Pinot Noir 2022
Louis Max (who are based in Burgundy, whose winemaking roots date back to 1859) have partnered with the Languedoc's David Duband, to bring us wines showcasing the best of Burgundian elegance and the Languedoc's vibrancy. An unlikely marriage, but nevertheless a success and one we're all here for. Pinot Noir 2022 is taken from different vineyards across the Languedoc, and that Mediterranean heat has resulted in a Pinot with an incredibly intense nose of ripe strawberry, blackcurrant, vanilla and cinnamon. The palate is bright and balanced between acidic fruitiness and a lovely vanilla-sweetness, both of which carry into a pleasantly long finish. A great wine to pair with game, particularly duck.
